The most popular Python sites in 2014

In January 2014 I've published an article about the popularity of Perl in 2013. In that article I've also included a number of Python sites as well. This year I've moved the Python part to this article and added a lot more sites.

As I don't have access to the logs of these sites, the second best approach I found is to look at the Alexa ranking of the sites. While it is far from being perfect it seems to have a strong correllation to what Google Analytics report. See the relationship between Alexa ranking and pageviews.

This year for most of the sites I only have the current ranking, but it can already provide you some insight. Next year it will be really interesting to see how each one of these sites have changed.
